Why Edit Images in Create?

Editing images within Create can save you time when preparing content for social media scheduling. Many platforms have specific image size and file type requirements, and Create allows you to quickly adjust images without needing to re-export them from external design software (e.g. Canva, Photoshop).

How to Edit Images in Create:

Editing images is quick and simple. Follow the steps below to modify your images directly in the app.
In Your Draft Workspace
  1. Hover over your attached image
  2. Click the pencil icon to open the editing window
In Your Create Library
  1. Find the image you want to edit
  2. Click the pencil icon from the preview window, or right-click on the image and select "Edit" from the menu

Can I Edit Videos in Create?

Currently, video editing is not supported in Create. However, we are constantly working to improve our platform, so this feature may be available in the future.

Image Editing Options in Create

Once you enter the image editing workspace, you'll find the following tools to customize your image:
  1. Background Options: Add a background (letterboxing). The available options are black, white, or transparent.
  2. Rotate: Rotate the image 90 degrees.
  3. Flip: Flip the image horizontally.
  4. Crop: Trim the image to fit your needs.
  5. Resize: Adjust the image dimensions.
  6. Output Formats: Change the image file type (JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, ICO).
  1. "Media Width (px) exceeds max (px)"
    1. Solution: Use the Resize feature to reduce the image width. Enter the maximum width provided in the warning message. The height will adjust automatically to maintain the aspect ratio.
  2. "Aspect Ratio too tall (must be ___)"
    1. Solution: Use the Crop feature to adjust the image's aspect ratio. You can either manually set a custom ratio or choose from pre-defined options like Instagram (4:5) or Widescreen (16:9). Drag the cropping window to adjust the composition.
  3. "File Size exceeds ___MB"
    1. Solution: Use the Resize feature to reduce the file size. If no file size is suggested, a good starting point is to halve the image width. For example, if the image width is 3304px, resize it 1652px. This reduces the file size without significant loss of quality.
Helpful Tip: After editing your image, be sure to check the "Post Type" field in your Draft's workspace. Sometimes, the Post Type may automatically change based on your attached image format or size.

Will My Social Media Posts Look Blurry if I Resize Them Using Create?

No, resizing images in Create will not make your social media posts blurry. We work hard to ensure that the image quality remains at the highest standard while also meeting the file size restrictions set by various social media platform APIs.

Before scheduling or publishing your posts, you always can view a post preview. This allows you to ensure the final product looks exactly as you want it before it goes live on your social media channels.
