How To: Leave a Note on a User
How to Leave Notes in Engage
Introduction
There are two different kinds of notes you can leave in Engage: Conversation Notes and Author Notes.
To learn more about the differences between the two, check out the article HERE.How to Leave an Author Note
On a claimed conversation:
- With your selected conversation open, click the 'write note on author profile' field in your AUTHOR COLUMN,
- A yellow note section will pop up in your AUTHOR COLUMN. Type the note and click 'DONE' to save.
On a conversation not Assigned to your user (from OVERVIEW):
- Find the conversation you want to leave a note on. Right click and select 'VIEW'.
- Now the conversation is open in another browser tab in 'View Only Mode'. This means no edits can be made from this view.
- Click on the 'VIEW ONLY' label at the top of the conversation to switch into 'Managing Mode'. NOTE: This does not move the conversation into your Assigned Queue. This just allows you to make edits to the Author Profile and, depending on if you have additional permissions, allows you to set a protocol etc on the piece.
