How to Use the "Apply to All" Button

The "Apply to All" Button

The Apply to All button is a new feature designed to help speed up your social media workflows in the draft workspace. It allows you to quickly copy your caption and attachments from one platform to the others in the same draft, helping you save time and clicks when preparing multi-platform posts.

This article explains what the Apply to All button does, how to use it, and answers frequently asked questions.

What is the Apply to All Button?

The Apply to All button automatically copies the caption and attachments you’ve added in one platform’s workspace to the other platforms included in the same draft. This gives you a head start when creating posts across multiple social media accounts.

Key benefit: It saves time by reducing repetitive work, even if you plan to customize each platform later!

How it works

  1. Create your draft: Add your caption and attachments in the workspace for one platform (for example, Facebook).
  2. Click Apply to All: Once you’ve entered your copy or added media, click the Apply to All button in the draft workspace.
  3. What gets copied?
    1. Captions and attachments will be copied to the other platforms in the draft.
    2. Existing copy or attachments will NOT be overwritten. Only empty fields will be filled.
  4. Post Type adjustments: When media is copied, the Post Type may automatically update (for example, switching to a video post if video is attached). Always review and adjust the Post Type if needed before scheduling or publishing.
  5. Platform-specific fields: Only fields that exist on both platforms will be copied over. For example, a Video Title field on Facebook will not copy over to Instagram, since Instagram doesn’t have a matching field.
  6. Automatic Saving: Clicking Apply to All will automatically save all the workspaces in your draft. This is another way to streamline your workflow and keep everything up to date while working quickly.
  7. Saving and uploading: If media is still uploading or your draft is still saving, the Apply to All button will be temporarily disabled. Wait until uploads or saves are complete before clicking it.

Example Use Case

You draft a Facebook post with a caption and video attachment.
  1. You click Apply to All.
  2. The caption and video are copied to your Instagram and LinkedIn workspaces.
  3. Any existing captions or attachments stay as-is, and the entire draft automatically saves across all platforms.
  4. You go ahead and schedule out all the platforms of the draft as normal.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Will Apply to All overwrite existing captions or attachments?
No, it only fills in empty fields. Anything you’ve already added on other platforms will stay unchanged.

Q: Will the Post Type automatically change when media is copied?
Yes, media attachments can change the Post Type (for example, switching to “Video Post”). Always review the Post Type after applying to all. Most platforms have an Other Post Type fallback.

Q: Will platform-specific fields be copied over?
Only if there’s a matching field. For example, Facebook’s Video Title won’t copy to Instagram, because Instagram doesn’t use that field.

Q: Does Apply to All save my work?
Yes! Clicking Apply to All automatically saves all workspaces in your draft — helping you move quickly and confidently through your workflow.

Q: Why is the Apply to All button sometimes disabled?
If media is still uploading or the draft is still saving, you won’t be able to click Apply to All until those processes finish.

Q: Why don't I see the Apply to All button in my draft?
The button is only available for drafts with multiple platforms. If your draft only has one social media platform, then this button is not applicable.

Q: Does my Updates tab in my draft log the Apply to All activity?
Yes, all of the media/copy changes will be shown within your draft's Updates tab as normal.

Q: Why was this feature added?
Many users draft content for one platform first and then customize it for others. Apply to All helps speed up that workflow by providing a shared starting point across platforms.

Q: Is the Apply to All button available on mobile?
Yes, the button is visible at the top of your mobile workspace.
